Hi, I’m Shawny, a therapist, advocate, and community connector committed to equity, healing, and housing. I’ve spent my career walking alongside individuals impacted by incarceration, homelessness, and systems never designed to support them.

As Director of Permanent Supportive Housing at Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach, I oversee six programs serving people returning from incarceration and other complex barriers . I also provide therapy to clients navigating trauma, transition, and recovery, helping them find stability and reclaim their stories.

Whether I’m consulting, speaking, or sharing online, my mission is simple: lead with compassion, tell the truth, and make social work feel real and rooted in community. I believe in bridging the gap between people and policy and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered
